Firearm Consignment Policy

1. The consigner agrees to pay 15% of the item’s total sale price to Hickory Sporting & Tactical which will be
automatically deducted from the consigner’s payment by HST before funds are transferred to the consigner.
The 15% fee will also include all transfer fees. Does not include any fees that may be payable to the BATF.
2. The consigner agrees to having their item(s) thoroughly inspected by both Hickory Sporting & Tactical/Springs
Road Gun Club officers to assure they are in full working order and will provide ammunition if needed to test
fire each item otherwise the cost of the items necessary for testing will be deducted at full cost from the
consigner’s final payment. The Consigner also agrees to allow HST to check with the local police department to
assure the items has not been misused or labeled as stolen property.
3. If Hickory Sporting & Tactical finds the item to be defective, the consigner will be notified and asked to pick up
the items in question. HST is NOT responsible if your item(s) defective and will not compensate anyone for
defective items.
4. Hickory Sporting & Tactical has a responsibility to turn over any items reported by the police department as
stolen to the police department as well as the consigners information according to the law. The consigner WILL
NOT be compensated for their item(s) and ALL consigned items will be turned over to the local police
department.
5. The consigner understands that it can take all three parties a total of 3 days to investigate their item(s) and the
item WILL NOT be listed for sale until the investigation is complete.
6. Hickory Sporting & Tactical agrees to display and show the consigned item(s) within their regular stock. Items
may be advertise on social media, newletters, mobile apps and website as an “in stock” item for an additional
fee.
7. Hickory Sporting & Tactical agrees to store the item(s) properly and assure they are safely maintained while in
our possession.
8. The consigner agrees to set their own asking price at the time of the contract with the advice of HST to assure
they get what they are asking. The consigner also will set a lowest reserve price they will accept for that item.
9. Hickory Sporting & Tactical sets a 30-day term minimum for the firearm. A $25 fee will be charged If the
cosigner ends the contract prior to 30 days.
10. The consigner will be notified within 3 business days of the item(s) sale and paid their balance within 7 days of
the sale.
11. The consigner can only sell/consign items that are in their name only and must provide a photo ID at the time of
agreement.
12. The consigner understand that only LEGAL firearms are permitted to be consigned and no illegally modified
item(s) will be allowed to be listed by Hickory Sporting & Tactical
